Born (1958) and raised in Stoke On Trent, England.
Up until becoming an English lecturer in 1991, his various paths through life took him: overland and into the Sahara Desert, working summer camps in the USA, hitching coast - coast in the USA, living for three years on a kibbutz in Israel, achieving a B.A.Hons in English and Drama, working in professional theatre and running his own touringTheatre In Education company.
He now passes his time giving private tuition in English and marking English examination papers in the summer - although he suspects he would rather be reading, writing or out and about with his camera.
Seeing Unseen is his first novel.
